The Cambridge Conservation Forum (CCF) exists to strengthen links and develop new synergies across the diverse community of conservation practitioners and researchers based in and around Cambridge, working at local, national and international levels.

CCF is a founder member of the Cambridge Conservation Initiative (CCI), which grew out of long-standing collaborations between Cambridge Conservation Forum member organisations. These organisations remain important contributing members of CCF, as well as forging more formal working arrangements in collaborative projects as part of the CCI.

Over 50 organisations are currently members of CCF.

CCF aims to:

  • foster contacts between people in different organisations;
  • broaden awareness of the exceptional pool of local expertise and activities; and
  • encourage the development of joint initiatives aimed at tackling common problems.

Membership is open to not-for-profit organisations, and institutions, including governmental bodies, and universities involved in conservation policy, practice and research.

Individuals with an active interest in conservation research, policy or advice but who are not in a member organisation may become “Friends” of the Forum.

CCF Council meeting

The next Council meeting will be held on Tuesday 24th January, 13:00, at the Department of Zoology, University of Cambridge. Any individuals from CCF Member organisations and Friends of the Forum are welcome to attend.
